# Set the hiring team role of a person on a job

PATCH https://api.letsdeel.com/rest/ats/jobs/{job_id}/hiring-members/{hris_organization_user_id}
Content-Type: application/json

Adds a person to a job's hiring team, changes their role on it, or removes them, so the team can be kept current as people join or leave the hiring process. A person with an upcoming interview on the job cannot be removed until that interview is cancelled or rescheduled.

 **Token scopes**: `ats:write`, `worker:write`

 **Beta**: this version requires the `X-Beta: true` request header and its contract may change before it is promoted to stable. It is scheduled to become stable on 2027-01-29.
